Pussy Galore

BandBazi, Pussy GaloreUsing death defying circus imagery, theatrical narrative, humour and pathos, this solo show about a young woman and her gay brother explores issues of sexual and cultural identity, sibling rivalry and the nature of being different in the eyes of society. High above the ground, dangling on white silks, she remembers back to childhood. Her brother gave her the imagination and taught her how to fly - to be part of Pussy Galore's Flying Circus. This is what she clings to when words fail to express some of the deepest of human emotions - bereavement and loss.

"The cleverest, most poetical aerial work I've ever seen" - Mary Brennan, The Glasgow Herald

"A most sensitive piece of physical theatre imaginatavely presented" - Donald Hutera, The Scotsman

"Pussy Galore's Flying Circus" was premiered at the 1999 Edinburgh Festival and has since toured extensively through Britain and Germany.
